When discussing climate change, there is almost exclusive focus on its scientific nature. Yet, while the cause of climate change is scientific, its effect will be almost entirely social. Our panelist will dissect this quagmire and seek to explain the causal relationship between climate change and society, the role states or international institutions have in formulating responses, the place of state sovereignty in the face of global climate change, and the role energy policy plays in ‘going green’.
