The Law Students' Self-Education Organisation (JÖSz)

Self - Education Organization of Law Students

The Law Students' Self-Education Organisation (JÖSz) is based on the student community at the ELTE Law School, which aims to develop the education of lawyers in Hungary and abroad and to support talented lawyers and law students. Our work has three main pillars: alongside professionalism and jurisprudence, culture and charity are also core values of the organisation, due to its sensitivity to the cultivation of the soul.  JÖSz started out as a university organisation, and today, it functions as a college for advanced studies. A few years ago, we also created the JÖSz Foundation, which aims to extend the activities of the organisation beyond the university walls.

The JÖSz Institute operates as an organisational unit of the JÖSz Foundation, its aim is to implement the Foundation's activities related to law studies. The JÖSz Institute carries out research and research support activities, organises the Foundation's publishing activities, provides a publication platform for young researchers and students, and supports young lawyers interested in science through scholarships and research projects.
