He earned his first degree from the Department of Semitic Philology and Arabic Studies at ELTE Faculty of Humanities and his second degree from the Department of Political Science at ELTE Faculty of Social Sciences. He obtained his doctoral degree from Utrecht University in 2016. His dissertation focused on Arab children's television, examining how the production of content for children is embedded in the media industries of Arab countries, the connections between content creators and distributors with various political and religious actors, and how different political and religious messages appear in content intended for children. In 2014, he was a visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge. He has published articles in several international scientific journals, and his first scientific monograph was published by Edinburgh University Press in June 2021. His writings have appeared in various foreign publications, including The New York Times and Foreign Policy. Since 2019, he has been a researcher at the Avicenna Institute of Middle Eastern Studies. As a staff member of the Migration Research Institute, he focuses on the integration of European Muslim diasporas and the dynamics of Middle Eastern societies.
