László Rábai is the CEO of Grand Tokaj Zrt. Before his involvement in Tokaji activities, he managed the enterprises of the Pannonhalma Archabbey for a long time and was responsible for their development. During this work, he encountered the world of wine, and his connection to it deepened over the decades. In the early 2000s, he participated in the establishment of the Pannonhalma Abbey Winery and was also involved in its strategic management for many years. At Pannonhalma, he met Tibor Gál, with whom he developed not only a well-functioning professional but also a personal friendship. Together, they envisioned a sparkling wine cellar in Kárásztelke, Transylvania, which, however, was only realized and began operating with the participation of investor partners after Tibor’s death, earning international recognition for Carassia sparkling wines. Building on his experience in managing the Pannonhalma and Kárásztelke estates, he now works towards the development of Grand Tokaj and, through it, the Tokaj-Hegyalja Wine Region.
