Peter Frankopan is an author,Professor of Global History at the University of Oxford, Senior Research Fellow at Worcester College and Director of the Oxford Centre for Byzantine Studies. His areas of research include the Eastern Mediterranean, Russia, the Middle East, Central Asia, and China.

In addition to his academic work, Dr. Frankopan provides geopolitical advice to governments, intergovernmental agencies, multilateral institutions, and corporations worldwide. His latest book, The Earth is Transforming, offers lessons for a world struggling with rapid climate change caused by human industry.
