István Nahalka holds a high school teaching degree in mathematics and physics, is a candidate of educational sciences, and is habilitated. For nearly 30 years, he has been a lecturer at ELTE, teaching pedagogical subjects and participating in the training of teachers and education majors. He is a regular lecturer at two doctoral schools (the doctoral schools of educational sciences at ELTE and EKKF). He is a co-editor of several professional study collections, the author of four monographs, and the author of many journal articles and book chapters. His research has primarily focused on learning theories, science education, educational inequality, and pedagogical assessments. He has led three professional scientific research projects and has participated in numerous research grant projects.
