Lāsma Ivaska joined Moholy Nagy University of Art & Design in 2021 to build an interdisciplinary design, research, and innovation hub in Budapest. Serving as Director of the Innovation Center, Lāsma oversees the design research portfolio, collaboration models, and business incubation.
Before pivoting to the academic sector, Lāsma worked with innovation in both civic and corporate contexts. She helped establish Riga’s first innovation district and smart city testbed for startups, VEFRESH, and worked with open innovation at Accenture Baltics. Prior to that, she led market research at the international sales advisory firm Gateway & Partners.
Lāsma is also a co-founder of Repair Cafe Riga, a non-profit promoting sustainable community practices.
