József Haller served as a researcher at the Experimental Medicine Research Institute for 30 years, where he led the Behavioral Neurobiology department (and its predecessor) for over 20 years. He established and led the Behavioral Assessment Unit for six years. Since 2017, he has been the head of the Criminal Psychology department at the National University of Public Service and the head of its Law Enforcement Sciences Doctoral School since 2022. He has been leading the Drug Research Institute for five years. In 2022, he was elected a member of the Academia Europaea (European Academy). Throughout his career, he has published over 160 studies in leading international scientific journals and is among the most frequently cited Hungarian researchers internationally.
