István F. Takács completed his high school studies at Móra Ferenc Gymnasium in Kiskunfélegyháza, then moved to Szeged, where he earned a Master's degree in Biology Education from the University of Szeged in 2006. Later, he completed an accredited coaching course in Budapest. In 2019, he obtained a BA in Behavioral Analysis from Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church and an MA in Psychology from the University of Szeged. In 2021, he began his doctoral studies in psychology, pedagogy, and educational sciences at the Doctoral School of Education at the University of Szeged. His research focuses on youth impulsivity and its educational and psychological dimensions.

His grandparents were educators, and his mother was a teacher, which inspired him from a young age to pursue a career in education. He began his career at the University of Szeged, teaching subject methodology, health education, and bioethics. He then worked as a botanical educator at the Szeged Botanical Garden and taught biology at several high schools for ten years. In 2015, he turned towards the helping profession. He acknowledges that his work as a psychologist is still heavily influenced by his expertise in pedagogy, biology, and physiology. Currently, he teaches at two universities: psychology students at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Károli Gáspár University and education students at the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Szeged. He is a frequent expert guest on television and radio shows. In 2018, he founded the [F2F] Psychology Studio, and in 2023, Mindset Psychology invited him to expand their advisory team. He also works as a trainer and generational expert, regularly conducting developmental lectures and workshops as a consultant.
