Tamás Éder was born in Cegléd in 1965. He graduated from Kossuth Lajos High School in Cegléd in 1983. In 1989, he earned his degree from the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Agricultural Sciences in Gödöllő, where he subsequently worked as a staff member of the Department of Agricultural Economics. In 1993, he studied at Oklahoma State University as a Fulbright scholar. In 2008, he received an MBA from the English-language program at Webster University and Szent István University.

From 1996, he worked in various positions in public administration. In the summer of 2002, he left public administration from the position of Administrative State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FVM).

Tamás is currently the Director of Corporate Relations and PR at Bonafarm Group. He is the honorary president of the Hungarian Meat Industry Association and the Responsible Food Manufacturers Association. Since 2013, he has been the Vice President responsible for the food industry at the National Chamber of Agricultural Economics. Since 2023, he has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
