Dr. János Bóka completed his law studies in both Szeged and Brussels, earning his PhD in 2013. Between 2004 and 2009, he worked in the European Parliament arom 2014 to 2015, he served as chief advisor at the Civil Law Department of the Curia, and later, from 2017 to 2018, he was the director of the Hungarian Judicial Academy at the National Office for the Judiciary. He has taught at the University of Szeged, the National University of Public Service, and Károli Gáspár University. From 2018 to 2021, he was the Secretary of State responsible for European Union and international judicial cooperation at the Ministry of Justice, and from 2022 to 2023, he served as the Secretary of State for European Union Affairs at the Prime Minister's Cabinet Office. From 2022, he has been the Prime Minister's representative and EU Sherpa and since August 1, 2023, he has served as Hungary's Minister for European Union Affairs.
