In 2003, László Böröcz became involved with Fidelitas in downtown Budapest. From 2009, he served as the operational and later executive vice-president of Fidelitas, and from 2015 to 2019, he was the president of the organization. Since 2010, he has been a member of the Economic Cabinet of the Fidesz Fraction and was elected as an individual representative for the 5th district. From 2012, he served as a professional advisor to the Prime Minister's Office for two years. In 2014, he was re-elected as an individual municipal representative and served as the deputy mayor of the 5th district until 2018. In the 2018 parliamentary elections, he secured a seat in the National Assembly from the Fidesz party list. During the 2018-2022 cycle, he was a member of the Legislative Committee, the Budget Committee, and the Committee on Sustainable Development. On June 9, 2024, he was elected mayor of the 1st district.
