Renátó Balogh is an assistant professor at the Institute of Sports Economics and Management at the Faculty of Economics, University of Debrecen. He obtained his university degree in the joint Sports Manager master's program of Corvinus University of Budapest and the University of Physical Education, and his Doctorate (Ph.D.) at the University of Debrecen. His research areas include sports management, sports consumption, and sports marketing, with a particular focus on the consumer market of professional football. In recent years, his research work has been recognized with several international and domestic awards. He is a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences' Public Body, the Hungarian Economic Association, and the Hungarian Society of Sport Sciences.
