Audrey Unverferth studied Russian and Eastern European Studies at the University of Chicago and graduated summa cum laude with honors in 2022.Her thesis, "Guilty Innocents' Useful Performance as Debt Collection in Stalin's 1936 Moscow Show Trial", examined primary sources and the false guilty pleas of the first three defendants in the 1936 Moscow show trial. After graduation, Unverferth was awarded the Anna Lise Crone Prize in Slavic Languages and Literatures from the University of Chicago, which is awarded to "the most outstanding thesis in the field of Russian literature and culture". During her time at the university, Unverferth co-founded, published and served as editor-in-chief of Chicago Thinker, the leading conservative student newspaper in the United States. During this time as editor-in-chief, the Thinker appeared in The Wall Street Journal, National Review and Fox News. Most recently, Unverferth served as the communications director for UATX, commonly known as Austin University, which believes in the importance of seeking the truth without fear. Unverferth's commentary has been featured on Tucker Carlson Tonight, The Federalist, The Ingraham Angle, Sky News and Newsmax.
